At last I could move to mountains. It would be desirable to look again birds in sea-buckthorn thickets. The place in mountains is really beauty, the small branch of the river, slowly course, bushes of sea-buckthorn around. A lot of birds, even Carrion Crows feed sea-buckthorn berries. The Tits (Coal Tits in main, Azure Tits, a bit of Great Tits) feed sea-buckthorn also. As fairly often Goldcrests feed in company of Tits. Wrens scurry along the river. From time to time Blue Whistling Thrushes come in sight (once my wife have seen the pair of Thrushes). Wrens are almost no timid. If to sit easy and silently Wren may to approach very close.
Rosefinches. Actually I have gone to this place to see Rosefinches and some other birds I saw later. Apparently Rosefinches are Red-mantled. There are young birds and females in main. They are brownish with dark blotches. I have seen pink males twice only and have no possibility to photograph them. Rosefinches have fed sea-buckthorn berries only and regular have flew on a watering place. Often several Rosefinches are fed on one bush, but it is difficult to tell that they move as a flock. At least of a bird arrive on a watering place one by one.
To a watering place Chaffinches and Red-fronted Serins fly also. Often near the water possible to see Redstarts - Rufous-backed (Eversmann's) and White-winged (Guldenstadt's). They are similar if look from afar. They are coloured in red, black and white colors, but Rufous-backed Redstart is a lighter, not so bright as White-winged Redstart. Very beautiful birds. Necessarily next time I shall give them to more time. But today my purposes were Rosefinches and Snipe, birds I saw later.
I have found Snipe also. The bird was fed on a silent and quiet streamlet near Blackbirds. There are no same places in the vicinity. Maybe therefore bird has not flew and has easy tried to leave from me. Snipe is very beautiful and I am very glad to make some photos. it developed that it is Solitary Snipe. Solitary Snipe nests on Altai and winters on Tien-Shan.
